The Bruno Sacco designed W-126 Mercedes S-Class built between 1979 and 1992 is without doubt considered to be a ‘high point’ in the history of the Mercedes-Benz brand.
In its day this was a pioneering car, the very first motor vehicle in the world to have ABS brakes.
Built by engineers and not accountants, the W-126 series, along with other Mercedes-Benz vehicles of the era, in terms of their quality and engineering, are never likely to be seen again – making such a car these days would simply be too expensive to justify both their build and retails cost in an ever competitive market that chases profit above all else.
This was the car which nearly bankrupted Mercedes!
This Particular example is the 420SEL model which is the long wheel base model, the original owner was "Civil Aviation Authority" later owned by the Pilot which worked for the airline.
